The only goal in the first half was scored by Philipp Lahm. His fifth international goal in 90 caps. He has been pretty impressive in the tournament so far. Michael Ballack should be proud.
Nobody expected the second half to be a goalfest. Georgios Samaras equalized for Greece in the 55th minute. But their joy was short-lived as Sami Khedira restored Germany's lead six minutes later. Veteran striker Miroslav Klose's header and a Marco Reus thunderbolt sealed the victory. Indeed the score-line could have been bigger.
Greece grabbed a late consolation in the 89th minute through a penalty.
The Germans looking unstoppable at the moment, will face either Italy or England in the semis.
